Not the usual…

Today is Sunday.  It’s supposed to be an ordinary Sunday for me.  Usually, I attend mass early with my mother and stay at home for the rest of the day just watching TV.

Today is not a usual Sunday.  I went to mass late in the morning with my bosses, Mr. Son, Mr. Seol and Mr. Son’s nephew, Kwang Sik.  Actually, they’re the very unusual companions for me to go to mass with, but anyway, I guess we all need a little bit of not-the-usual-thing going in our lives.  We also went to the supermarket with them and I joined them for lunch.  Around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, my boss decided that we all go to Paradise Island just for a breather.  Well, I guess there was nothing else left for them to do and so they decided to visit a beach resort.  They invited me and because I had no other plans in mind, I decided to join them.  During the boat ride to Paradise Island, the sea breeze was really fantastic.  It was so cool and I thought to myself that what I was doing at that moment was somehow, refreshing.

Something new.  Something out of the usual.  Something different!

 I was accustomed to spending my weekends with my family or relatives and so, everytime I had to do something out of this routine, I tend to feel stressed.  But today was different and I realized that having something different can actually be refreshing instead of stressful.  

I had fun.  My Sunday was not the ordinary routine but it was simple…and cool.
